About
My name is Michelle, or Misha for short. I've always had a passion for things creative and artistic. At 12 I won the SC Johnson children's art competition with a giant watercolour of our family garden, and later I was proud to have a runner-up painting hung in the Young Artist exhibition at The Mall Galleries in London.A truamatic childhood led me to miss out on the opportunity for art college, but I continued my artistic endeavours while raising a family and doing charitable work overseas.Art took a more serious turn on arriving in Wales some years ago, when traumatic events led me to discover it as an embracing, mystical and magical place for the creative soul and a haven of like-minded creatives and alternative thinkers. My subjects are usually nature-related, animals, flowers, birds, landscapes real and imaginary, a mix of realistic, naive and whimsical that has become part of my style. I also create naive art sculptures and love delving into abstract painting. I sell at local fairs, shops, online and as commissions both nationally and internationally.
